The Story Behind the Vault
Oliver Caldwell opened Knot Blend Vault in spring 2018 after eight years working in other people's salons. The name came from a habit he had already developed: keeping a locked notebook of every formula he had ever mixed, every tonal correction, every experiment that worked and several that did not. The vault was always the notebook. The salon just gave it a home. He found the space through a friend who was leaving a lease, spent three months fitting it out with a local joiner, and opened with four chairs and a waiting list of clients who had followed him from his previous post.— Knot Blend Vault
